How long has Trilogy been in existence?
Trilogy was founded in 1993 by Quinn and Terry Wiggins, with the loving commitment of Linda Lassiter and Vicki Duncan. Quinn brings over 20 years of experience in the public school system as a teacher and administrator. Terry and Linda contribute their experiences both as teachers and as long-term home-schooling parents. Vicki was employed by the local public school system for 10 years before being recruited for her teaching talents. The 2008-2009 school year marks the celebration of our 15th year.
 
What is Trilogy's student / teacher ratio?
Our Younger Elementary program has a 1:5 ratio. Older Elementary has a 1:4 ratio for reading and math and a 1:7 ratio for thematic instruction, enrichment courses, and recess times.  All middle and high school classes have a 1:16 ratio except math which has a 1:8 ratio.
 
What is Trilogy's campus like?
Our physical campus is 7 acres. We have added a professional Frisbee Golf Course, a large elementary playground, an obstacle course, and a fire ring built by one of our students as his Eagle Scout project.  Our student body hovers around 100 students. We have approximately 25 in Elementary School, 30 in Middle School, and 45 in High School.
 
Does Trilogy use a specific curriculum?
No, we use the Sunshine State Standards as our minimum requirements in the classroom, and then build on them through hands-on, dynamic, and engaging activities and assignments.
 
Is Trilogy a college prep school?
Trilogy's philosophy is that by the time a student graduates, he or she is prepared for what the world has to offer them, whether it is college, military service, straight to the workforce, or joining a family business. 90 percent of our graduates enroll in college following their graduation from Trilogy High School.
 
How do we multi-age our classes?

 

 Younger Elementary: 1-2 grade
 Older Elementary: 3-5 grade
 Middle School:  6-8 grade
 High School: 9-10 grade & 11-12 grade

 

 
Is Trilogy a special needs school?
No.  Our students are a diverse group of kids who are willing to work hard, to be partners in their education, and to live by the Golden Rule.
 
Is Trilogy a religious school?
No, Trilogy is a small private school.  The three interlocking rings that are part of our logo represent the heart, mind, and will of a child.  We accept students of all faiths and backgrounds.
 
Is Trilogy accredited?
No.  Trilogy has purposely chosen not to seek accreditation.  Based on the experience of our teachers and administrators, we are confident in our ability to track our students' progress and provide a quality and well-rounded educational experience.
 
Does Trilogy conduct standardized testing?
No.  The only standardized testing we conduct is the PSAT with our high school sophomores.  Our juniors and seniors take the SAT and ACT through the College Board.
 
Does Trilogy require its students to wear uniforms?
No, we do not require uniforms.  We do have a modest dress code to which students must adhere.
 
Does Trilogy follow the Alachua County School Calendar?
We typically start the third week in August and get out at the end of May (the Friday after Memorial Day).  We have the same major holiday breaks (winter break and spring break), but our teacher workdays and storm days may not always coincide with the public school calendar.
 
What are Trilogy's school hours?

 

Elementary School: 8:45 AM - 2:00 PM
Middle School: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM
High School: 9:10 AM - 3:00 PM
 
What are Trilogy's demographics?
Our Trilogy family is comprised of college professors, engineers, small business owners, contractors, working professionals, stay-at-home parents, consultants, artists, teachers and musicians, to name just a few.
